New to Grow
Hi, I’m Kristhel Vallejo, a compassionate and goal-oriented therapist dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges and create meaningful change. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation to support clients in building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and achieving their personal goals. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming conversation where we’ll get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your goals, background, and what’s been challenging for you lately. Together, we’ll begin to identify what you’d like to work on and set some initial goals for our time together. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the steps ahead.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw on evidence-based methods like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and psychoeducation to help clients not only understand their challenges but also develop actionable strategies to overcome them. Clients often notice meaningful changes quickly, such as improved coping skills, greater self-awareness, and a stronger sense of confidence in their ability to handle life’s challenges. My focus is always on building strengths and creating real, lasting results
I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking support, understanding, and guidance as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to create a warm and supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to make meaningful changes. I especially enjoy helping people build confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths as they move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with more balanced and constructive ways of thinking to support positive behavioral change and emotional well-being.
In my practice, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their own motivations for change, strengthen their commitment to personal goals, and build confidence in their ability to make positive life changes through empathy, collaboration, and guided self-reflection.
In my practice, I use psychoeducation to provide clients with information and tools to better understand their mental health, treatment options, and coping strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their own growth and recovery.
In my practice, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths and focus on practical solutions, guiding them to envision their preferred future and take small, achievable steps toward their goals.
