Hi, I’m Kristhel Vallejo, a compassionate and goal-oriented therapist dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges and create meaningful change. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation to support clients in building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and achieving their personal goals. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming conversation where we’ll get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your goals, background, and what’s been challenging for you lately. Together, we’ll begin to identify what you’d like to work on and set some initial goals for our time together. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the steps ahead.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw on evidence-based methods like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and psychoeducation to help clients not only understand their challenges but also develop actionable strategies to overcome them. Clients often notice meaningful changes quickly, such as improved coping skills, greater self-awareness, and a stronger sense of confidence in their ability to handle life’s challenges. My focus is always on building strengths and creating real, lasting results.
My ideal client is one that is willing to show up, engage in conversation, and consider how their thoughts, behaviors, or circumstances could potentially improve. They may be looking to better understand themselves, reduce stress, improve decision making, or develop healthier ways of coping. Together we can focus on creating a space where therapy becomes a useful tool in their path towards making realistic, meaningful changes.
