Hi! I had been a licensed psychologist for 35 years serving the Puerto Rican population for about 35 years and recently licensed in Florida. I had worked as a consultant, university professor, therapist, health coach and a nutritional coach within the scope of my professional experience. I speak both English and Spanish, and love to work adults. My present practice is as a telehealth psychologist, with Florida clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we well be finding if we are a good fit for each other, as well as discussing your main concerns and uneasiness, in order to develop the best therapeutical plan, tailored to your unique necessities and your best interests.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are more than thirty-five years of professional experience and a personal compromise with hard work and a commitment to excellence. I also provide a compassionate approach, understanding that as a human being is natural to have feelings of shame, guilt, uneasiness, conflict, personal crisis and moments of weakness and vulnerability. If you are a Spanish speaking person, you will feel very confortable, as we can do therapy in your own native language.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I use the therapeutical modality that best fills my clients' needs. Integrative therapy is an individualized, holistic approach that combines ideas, strategies and techniques from different therapeutic schools, adapting then to the unique needs of a particular client. It considers the client's different aspects, as a whole person, including areas such as personality, physical issues, nutrition, social needs, spirituality, as well as occupational and financial issues. I have successfully used this modality for treatment of depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, low self-esteem, self-harm, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, sleep concerns, educational or occupational challenges, nutrition issues and eating disorders. The main therapeutical approaches that I use are within the Integrative Therapy are: Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, Grief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Neuro-Linguistic Programing, Psychoeducation, Rational Emotional Behavior Therapy and Reality Therapy.

Christian Counseling

Christian Counseling helps the individual to overcome mental health challenges , while healing him spiritually. Christian Counseling is best used when the individual mental health is menaced by feelings of shame, guilty and sorrow, because his spiritual beliefs are in conflict with his deeds or living style. In this modality we help the client to reconcile his values with his decisions and actions.
