About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/LCSW. I received my Masters in Social Work/M.S.W. from Barry University in 1993. I am intensely trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy/DBT. I love spending time with my family and friends. I received a Bachelor in Science/B.S. from The University of Florida in 1988. I enjoyed my major in Psychology. At this point I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a Clinical provider. My friends always encouraged me to live my dream. Fast forward to the present time and here I am living my dream as a therapist. My experience as a therapist has been rewarding as well as providing me with life lessons and self-growth. My mental health has always been a priority. I practice habits on a daily basis that I share and assist my clients with.

I’ve been with Melanie over two years and always look forward to our sessions. She’s a great listening ear and offers realistic solutions and advice. She has done individual and couples therapy with myself and my husband and remained impartial throughout our sessions. I’m happy to have found her when I did!
