Hi, I’m Ashley Famularo, a licensed clinical social worker and therapist passionate about helping individuals and couples heal, grow, and reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with their purpose. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that blends evidence-based methods with intuition, creativity, and, when welcomed, Christian faith. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you with honesty, empathy, and support.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about creating a foundation for trust and understanding. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to gain, and how I can best support you. We’ll explore your current concerns, important life experiences, and any goals or hopes you have for the work ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most in my therapeutic approach is my ability to create a warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, safe, and supported. I meet people exactly where they are—with compassion, directness, and a deep respect for their unique story. Whether you’re navigating individual challenges or relationship struggles, I work collaboratively to help you uncover patterns, build insight, and move toward meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals and couples who are ready to explore their emotions, patterns, and experiences with honesty and curiosity—even if they’re unsure where to begin. My ideal clients may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in unhealthy cycles, or held back by past trauma. Many are navigating relationship stress, anxiety, low self-worth, or transitions in life that feel confusing or heavy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a highly effective, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT has been a foundational part of my training and clinical work, and I use it regularly to help clients gain insight into unhelpful thinking patterns and learn practical tools for change.

Christian Counseling

My background in Christian counseling has deeply shaped how I approach therapy. Through both personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to understand how faith can be a powerful source of healing, strength, and direction. In my training and work with clients, I’ve seen how integrating spiritual beliefs with therapeutic techniques can create a more holistic path to healing— for those who desire to bring their faith into the counseling space.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I use SFBT to help clients identify what’s working in their lives and build on those strengths. Instead of spending extended time focusing on what’s wrong, we focus on what can go right—clarifying goals, highlighting past successes, and creating small, achievable steps toward meaningful change.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method provides practical tools backed by decades of research on what makes relationships succeed or fail. I use it in my practice to help couples understand their relationship dynamics, break negative cycles, and build healthier patterns of interaction. Through structured exercises and conversations, we focus on enhancing friendship, managing conflict effectively, and creating shared meaning.

Couples Counseling

In my work, I create a safe and neutral space where both partners feel heard and supported. I help couples slow down reactive cycles, identify the root of their conflict, and rebuild their communication from a place of empathy and connection. Whether they’re struggling with communication, trust issues, infidelity, parenting stress, or simply feeling like they’ve grown apart, I guide couples through a process of reflection, healing, and reconnection.
