(she/her)
Hello, my name is Robin! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over five years of experience, and I bring a compassionate, creative approach to therapy. My array of life experiences allow me to deeply connect with my clients on a meaningful level. I often utilize experiential and hand-on tools in therapy that help create a space of learning and growth. When I'm not in the office, you can find me with my kiddos, in the garden, exercising, or working on a craft.
Our first session will be spent getting to know each out. I will spend some time telling you about my different therapy approaches and answering any questions you have. We will also spend some time discussing why you are starting your therapeutic journey and what you are hoping to get out of therapy.
I truly believe that my life experiences, including grief and loss, parenting through trauma, and more, allow me to offer a deep level of compassion and empathy that is evident in my counseling approach. Additionally, as a Christian, I can offer a faith-based perspective to enrich the therapeutic process, if requested.
My practice focuses on women's issues throughout the lifespan. Whether it is guiding a recent graduate through the transition to adulthood, helping a new mom cope with the demands of parenthood, or walking with someone in the midst of grief, I am here to help you work through the unique challenges of your stage of life.
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment therapy to aid you in noticing accepting difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, so you can focus tyourenergy on taking actions that align with your values. It’s about building a rich, meaningful life while making space for the big emotions this life brings.
Christian or faith-based counseling is available upon request to incorporate Christian beliefs into the therapy process at a level that is comfortable for you.
Attachement-based therapy focuses on understanding how early relationships, especially with caregivers, shape the way you connect with others. It helps you build secure, healthy relationships by exploring past attachment patterns and developing new ways of relating.
