Dalia Kelly
I’m a warm, compassionate therapist who believes you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. I became a therapist because I’ve seen how anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations can impact how we see ourselves and move through life. My own experiences, along with my professional background, have shaped the way I connect with clients. I understand that sometimes being the “strong one” can become exhausting, and that setting boundaries or putting yourself first can bring up a lot of guilt.
With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have helped individuals navigate periods of stress, emotional distress, and life transitions.
In therapy, I want you to feel comfortable being your whole self without judgment. I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, meeting you where you are and helping you develop tools and insight that feel realistic for your life. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin creating a life that feels more balanced and authentic to you.
First session
Your first session isn't about having all the answers or knowing exactly what you need from therapy. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what's been weighing on you, and begin identifying what you would like to change. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences and goals, but we'll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you. From there, we'll create a personalized plan and begin developing practical strategies to help you better manage what's weighing on you. Most importantly, I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
Strengths
Clients often tell me they appreciate a therapist who is warm, genuine, easy to talk to, and practical. My goal isn't simply to listen, it's to help you understand why you're feeling stuck while giving you tools you can begin using immediately. My sessions are conversational, supportive and I make sure to check in to see what feels most safe and right for you. I like to focus on practical tools that you can utilize right away.
Ideal clients
I specialize in assisting clients heal from anxiety, panic, self-esteem and confidence issues, trauma, grief and loss, work/life balance and life transitions. I use treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, compassion and solution focused therapy to create a treatment plan that is unique to the needs of each client.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy to help my client identify troubling situations and how their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions affect the situation. I then create a treatment plan that is unique to each client that will help them address their areas of concern.
Compassion Focused
I use compassion focused therapy to make sure the client feels safe and supported. I emphasize the importance of client going at their own pace to share their stressors and concerns. I feel like compassion focused therapy is important for any therapist to provide their clients for them to feel comfortable to share their life stressors and concerns.
