Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, clients can expect a review of confidentiality and its limits, followed by a general discussion of the concerns or challenges that brought them to therapy. We will also talk about your goals, expectations, and what you hope to gain from counseling. The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and for you to share what feels comfortable. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. Together, we will identify areas that may benefit from support and begin developing a plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your questions, comfort level, and feedback are important. As we move forward, we will work together to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding.
