As a former CPA/business owner I bring my unique life’s experiences of serving clients, coaching teams of business professionals and personal growth to the field of counseling. As a business leader, husband and father of, now, young adults, I spent many hours with my own coaches and therapists who helped me understand my struggles and explore my strengths and weaknesses to make myself and those around me better. I use a client/couple/family-centered strength-based approach to psychotherapy that focuses on You Shaping You. The Couple Shaping the Couple. The Family shaping the Family.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to ensure that your concerns are heard. We mix gaining an understanding of the challenges, reviewing your strengths, and some background with identifying goals and discussion of tools that might be helpful to try before our next session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am open to looking at challenges with a wide view and tailoring interventions and tools that match you. I use plain english in a collaborative approach to your treatment. As a seeker of knowledge myself I integrate history, examples and your own interests into my approach.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients who want to engage in exploration, curiosity, and change tend to find more satisfaction working with me. The more open and active we are with the possibilities and dreams the more likely we are to reduce the grip of depression, anxiety and trauma.

Working to both ground the body and challenge or reframe thoughts are imortant to regulating our emotional brain.

Couples Counseling

Imago Relationship Theory

Understanding the basis for our relational patterns and structurally changing communication helps to allow us and other to feel seen, heard and valued.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
