Hi, I'm Marcia! Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just not sure what direction to go? Is worry taking over and making hard to find the peace and joy you're needing? Are you going through a big life transition and not sure how to navigate that change on your own? You aren't alone! A lot of us go through these things, and it can really help to have a neutral space where you can sort these things out. As your therapist I want to provide you a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you find the answers you need and the change you want. As a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Services Provider in the state of Tennessee and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, I have had the privilege of helping clients with a variety of areas including anxiety, stress management, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship issues, and career goals. My approach is eclectic and person-centered, and I like to meet my clients where they are. My sessions and approach tend to be non-structured. We'll explore together what you need to achieve the positive change you are looking for. I want to offer you a safe space to achieve the positive change you want in your life. Together we can explore and challenge as you take steps toward healing and growth. I am empathetic, compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental. I want to help you discover the skills and insight you need to embrace life fully. I know it takes courage to seek a more joyful and fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change, so if you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you along the way!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we'll take some time to get acquainted and talk about what brings you to counseling and what changes you hope to find during your counseling journey (but if you don't know yet, that's okay too!). There's nothing you need to prepare, it's just a time for us to get to know each other and explore together some of those things that can bring about positive change for you.

Above all I create a safe, supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable talking about anything you need to. I also regularly share insight, resources, and strategies to give you the tools you need for lasting change beyond our sessions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based therapy that helps you build skills in distress tolerance, emotion reguation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
