New to Grow
Hi, I’m Alley, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor dedicated to supporting women through the many emotional seasons of their lives. My work is rooted in the belief that women deserve spaces where their experiences are honored, their identities are supported, and their inner worlds are understood with compassion. I began my career working alongside mothers navigating addiction—a role that deeply shaped my trauma-informed, relational approach. Over time, I expanded my training to better support women throughout the reproductive and early parenting years. I am a Circle of Security Facilitator and am currently completing my Infant Mental Health Endorsement, allowing me to support women and families at the intersection of emotional well-being, attachment, and early relational health. Today, I work with women navigating major life transitions, identity shifts, reproductive and perinatal challenges, relationship stress, and the everyday weight of being needed in so many ways. Whether you're adjusting to motherhood, struggling with infertility, moving through burnout, facing a loss, exploring who you are, or longing for more stability and connection, I offer a warm, grounded space to slow down and make sense of whatever you’re facing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a supportive, unhurried space focused on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for, as well as your reproductive and pregnancy story—at your pace and only to the extent you feel comfortable sharing. No two pregnancies or paths to parenthood are the same, and your experience deserves to be understood in its full context. We’ll also explore your current support system, your relationships, and how you’re coping day to day. I’ll ask about how you view your pregnancy or postpartum experience, including any mixed or difficult emotions you may be carrying. This session is about building safety, understanding, and collaboration—there’s no pressure to have the “right” words or to know exactly what you need yet. Together, we’ll begin to clarify goals and identify how therapy can best support you moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to build genuine connection and to help clients recognize the strengths they already carry—even when those strengths feel buried or inaccessible. I take a deeply person-centered approach, meeting each client with warmth, curiosity, and respect for their lived experience. Clients often share that they feel truly seen and understood in our work together. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” I work collaboratively to identify resilience, values, and internal resources, helping you reconnect with yourself and move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood who feel changed by the experience in ways they didn’t expect. Many of my clients feel disconnected from who they were before pregnancy, uncertain in their relationships, or struggling to bond with their baby. Some are carrying the weight of pregnancy loss, infant loss, infertility, or a traumatic or medically complex birth. Regardless of how wanted a pregnancy was, the transition into motherhood can be disorienting and emotionally complex. You may feel grief for your former life, confusion about your identity, or shame around thoughts and feelings that don’t match the “happy new mom” narrative. Isolation and loneliness are common, even when you’re surrounded by support. I work best with clients who want a space to make sense of these experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move toward feeling more grounded, confident, and like themselves again—without judgment, pressure, or expectations of how they “should” feel.
Eclectic
I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities in order to best suit my clients' needs. My preference as a clinician is to adapt all treatment to the client-- where you currently are, your presenting symptoms, and your goals for treatment. I want to help you get where you want to go, so I adjust based on your needs!
