About me

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem concerns, and parenting stress. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to create lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, helping clients build skills they can use in everyday life. I also provide EMDR therapy for clients seeking an evidence-based approach to processing trauma and other distressing experiences.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your personal history, your strengths, and what you'd like to accomplish. There is no pressure to tell your whole story during the first visit. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while developing a treatment plan tailored to your goals. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling understood, supported, and confident that you're not facing things alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe effective therapy is personalized because every client's experiences and goals are unique. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and play-based interventions when appropriate. As both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified School Counselor, I have experience helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. My goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported while developing practical skills, building resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with children, teens, and parents who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD or emotional regulation challenges. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, struggle with self-esteem, have difficulty managing big emotions, or want to break free from patterns that are no longer serving them. I especially enjoy helping parents better understand and support their children while strengthening family relationships. Together, we'll create practical strategies that foster healing, resilience, and lasting growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize unhelpful thoughts, understand how they influence emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier coping strategies. Together, we build practical skills that can be used in everyday life.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process traumatic or distressing experiences that continue to affect their daily lives. We first build coping skills and emotional regulation before beginning trauma processing, moving at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and create realistic, achievable goals. This approach emphasizes progress and practical solutions rather than focusing only on problems.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and accepted. By building a strong therapeutic relationship, I help clients explore their experiences and discover their own strengths and solutions.

Play Therapy

With children, I use play-based techniques to help them express emotions, process experiences, and develop healthy coping skills in developmentally appropriate ways. Play provides a natural and engaging way for children to communicate and learn.
