I am a licensed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions, including divorce, separation, and shifts in identity or direction. I also support first responders who are managing chronic stress, burnout, and the emotional demands of high-intensity work, as well as individuals who are struggling with the transition into adulthood after high school and finding their footing in independence, relationships, and purpose. My style is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in helping you make sense of what you’re going through without judgment. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, even if they’re doing their best to keep things together on the outside. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, understand patterns, and begin creating more clarity and stability in your life. I integrate insight-oriented therapy with practical, evidence-based tools to help you build emotional awareness, improve coping skills, and make meaningful, sustainable change. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start—our work begins with where you are right now.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A strong therapeutic relationship is central to the work I do. Because of that, the first session is primarily focused on building trust and getting a sense of whether we are a good fit to work together. It is a space for you to share what brings you to therapy in your own words and at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything organized or clearly defined. During this first session, we will also begin discussing your goals for therapy. This includes what feels most important for you to address right now, what has been getting in the way, and what you would like to be different moving forward. From there, we start exploring realistic and supportive ways to work toward those goals together. We will also talk briefly about how therapy might look moving forward, including the general direction of our work and the types of strategies that may be helpful based on your needs. This collaborative process helps ensure that therapy is tailored to you rather than one-size-fits-all. Ultimately, the first session is about trust, clarity, and direction. It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work, for me to understand what you are hoping for, and for us to begin shaping a path forward together that feels supportive, intentional, and achievable.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a balance of directness, attunement, and authenticity to my sessions. I am intentional about giving space when clients need time to process and reflect, while also offering gentle challenge and honest feedback when it feels therapeutically helpful. I tend to be direct in my communication, which can help clarify patterns, increase insight, and support meaningful change without unnecessary ambiguity. I also incorporate humor when appropriate, as I believe that moments of levity can be grounding and humanizing, especially when the work feels heavy. Therapy can involve difficult and painful topics, and I aim to create a space where both depth and lightness are welcome when it fits the moment. Overall, my goal is to meet clients where they are, stay engaged and present with their experience, and support them in moving toward clarity, stability, and change in a way that feels both honest and manageable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions, including divorce, separation, and identity changes following significant life shifts. I also support first responders who may be experiencing chronic stress, burnout, and the emotional impact of high-intensity work environments. In addition, I work with individuals who are struggling with the transition into adulthood after high school, including challenges related to independence, direction, relationships, and self-identity. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward in their lives. They may be managing stress, emotional exhaustion, or patterns that no longer feel sustainable, often without clear direction or support.

My treatment methods

Adlerian

I incorporate Adlerian counseling techniques to help clients better understand how early life experiences, relationships, and core beliefs shape the way they move through the world today. Together, we explore patterns that may no longer be serving you and identify new ways of relating to yourself and others. This approach emphasizes encouragement, insight, and building on your existing strengths.

Humanistic

I incorporate humanistic techniques that emphasize empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard within the therapeutic relationship. This approach supports clients in deepening self-understanding, accessing inner strengths, and moving toward meaningful personal growth. Humanistic work values each client’s unique lived experience and inherent capacity for change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused CBT techniques to help clients process painful experiences in a way that feels safe, supportive, and manageable. This approach helps clients understand how trauma can affect thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while building practical coping skills along the way. The goal is to reduce trauma-related distress and support healing at a pace that feels right for you.
