Sharna-Kay Bowen
Hi! I am Sharna-Kay, a mental health therapist and coach with a graduate degree from Barry University. I have over five years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. My work is rooted in compassion, presence, and understanding the whole person—mind, body, and life experience.
I create a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward healing, balance, and meaningful growth.
I create a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward healing, balance, and meaningful growth.
First session
Clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where they feel comfortable sharing their concerns. Our first session will focus on getting to know them, understanding their needs and goals, and exploring what brought them to therapy. They will leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together toward their personal growth and healing.
Strengths
I utilize a compassionate and evidence-based approach to help you overcome obstacles and improve your mental well-being. Whether you're struggling with stress or life transitions. I bring patience, compassion, and a calm, understanding presence to my sessions. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and validated. I believe in meeting each person where they are, listening without judgment and allowing them the space to express themselves openly. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is open to self-discovery, personal growth, and creating meaningful change . They may be navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves. They are willing to explore their thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, develop healthier patterns, coping strategies, and take meaningful steps toward creating a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. I encourage them to identify negative thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping skills to support positive change.
