As your Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist you can expect unconditional acceptance, respect and transparency. I believe that you, the client, is the expert on your life. My practice is rooted in a deeply compassionate, person-centered approach, meaning our work together is guided by your unique needs, values, and pacing.

Your safe space to untangle life's challenges.

I don't look at you as a set of symptoms to be fixed, but as a whole human being doing your best to navigate life's complex relationships and transitions. I am proud of you for taking the first step and truly look forward to working with you.

First session

My goal for my clients when we meet the for the first session is that they leave with a feeling of hope, an experience of being heard and not judged and knowing that they are valued.

Strengths

During sessions, you will experience a space where judgement does not exist and where you are valued and heard. Working with my clients is a privilege. My approach to therapy stands out because honesty always shows up in sessions and many times so does humor.

Ideal clients

I enjoy meeting and working with all types of people who are in various stages of life, navigating transitions or simply setting goals. I approach therapy eclectically and believe every client has their own personal story to tell and sometimes need help writing the next chapter. There is no one type of client I prefer or a perfect candidate because I believe all clients are perfect in their own way.

Treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use this treatment method in my practice by accepting my clients for who they are and where they are in life. I provide unconditional positive regard, I am authentic and transparent and listen fully and void of judgement.

Narrative

Everyone has their own story and so many need to tell their story. I am here to listen and to help them write their next chapter. Collaboration is key to success with Narrative Therapy as well as a non-judgmental approach is taken and the belief that the person is not the problem.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

When using Solution Focused/Brief Therapy, clients can expect to move toward goals within a shorter amount of time. Each session we find exceptions of when the problem didn't exist or when it wasn't as troublesome and find out what the client was doing in those instances so that they can duplicate those behaviors.
