I began twelve years ago at a small private practice while in graduate school moving on to working at large community based agencies serving Watts, South Central Los Angeles and other low income, high need areas. For the last three years, I have worked as the clinical lead therapist at a drug rehabilitation center in the Homestead area. Over the years my style has evolved but one thing remains the same, a warm, caring and interactive approach. I believe in treating clients with respect, sensitivity, compassion and honesty.
These are difficult, unprecedented times and you may find yourself wondering who can help you get through it. Over the years, I have collaborated with clients to develop positive coping with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have also helped those with parenting problems, trauma issues, life stage crisis, career challenges, relationship troubles, addiction and many other concerns.
I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. With that said, I use different modalities to provide the best service but I primarily work off of the following treatments: * Cognitive Behavioral Therapy * Attachment Theory * Solution Focus Therapy * Client Centered Therapy * Motivational Interviewing
Therapy is a collaborative effort and I am here to listen, to guide to help you get to the place you are looking for emotionally and cognitively.
