Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) based in Texas. I hold an additional license in Florida. I received my Doctorate from Texas A&M University in Commerce and my Master's in Counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton. I have been practicing for 13 years. I help young children and teens struggling with Depression and/or OCD become the best version of themselves and experience life without the cloud of Depression or OCD looming over them.
In our first session together, we will dive into the "Why?" and the "What?" of your child or teens experiences that have brought them to therapy. It is important that you, the parent, and child or teen, ask questions to gain a deeper understanding about the flow of sessions and share your expectations as well as the child's or teen's goals for therapy.
Having worked with children and teens, as well as their parents, for over 13 years in counseling, I encourage creativity, collaboration and communication to foster growth and improve self-esteem.
I enjoy working with children and teens, as well as their parents, because their resilience reminds us that therapy works if you believe.

Providing client's with an opportunity to identify and challenge their thoughts in a creative manner is essential for their personal growth. Within my practice, the client and I explore creative strategies, through play therapy and sand tray therapy, as well as other mediums, to facilitate their awareness of triggers and invoke a sense of personal achievement.
Exposure Response Prevention is the gold standard for addressing obsessive compulsive behaviors. In an effort to effectively address the obsessions and compulsions, we work collaboratively with parents and teens to develop an effective plan.
