Hi, I am so happy you are here. Congratulations for taking the first steps towards a better you! My name is Janel and I am licensed in Texas with 17 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients (adults and teens) coping with addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, depression and anxiety. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. DBT uses the best of our emotional mind and our rational mind to create "wise mind" perspective. Cognitive behavioral therapy works on cognitive distortions (negative self talk) and enhancing positive behaviors and decreasing negative behaviors. ACT works on acceptance of where we are and circumstances we have no control over. Person center takes me into your inner world and support you from your cultural, religious and personal values.
