Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Taking the step to seek support is an act of courage, and I would be honored to walk alongside you. I’m Crystal Ulibarri, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, with a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at El Paso. I’ve supported individuals, families, and groups across a variety of settings, helping clients navigate trauma, relationship concerns, workplace stress, grief, anxiety, depression, and self‑esteem challenges. My approach is client‑centered, supportive, and empathetic. I’m straightforward and goal‑oriented, and I will gently challenge you when it supports your growth. Above all, I value your autonomy, dignity, and lived experience. Please note: I currently provide services only to clients located in Texas.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is considered an initial assessment or intake, and it’s designed to help us begin building a clear, compassionate understanding of your experiences. This meeting is not about judgment, it’s about gathering information in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and paced according to your comfort. We’ll start by exploring what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. Many clients arrive with a mix of motivation, uncertainty, or curiosity, and all of that is welcome. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and support you in identifying the goals that matter most to you. During this assessment, we’ll begin gathering information across three key areas: Biological: We’ll talk about aspects of your physical and medical history that may influence your emotional well‑being. This can include past or current medical conditions, medications, sleep patterns, energy levels, and other lifestyle factors. Understanding the biological pieces of your story helps us build a holistic picture of your health and ensures that our work together is informed and grounded. Psychological: We’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences. This may include your history of stress, patterns you’ve noticed in your thinking, personality traits, beliefs about yourself or the world, and any past mental health history. You’re encouraged to share at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to listen closely, help you make connections, and begin identifying the tools or approaches that may support your growth. Social: We’ll also look at the relationships and environments that shape your life. This includes family dynamics, friendships, romantic relationships, workplace experiences, community connections, and cultural or identity‑based influences. These social and cultural layers often play a significant role in how we understand ourselves and how we navigate challenges. Throughout the session, I’ll check in with you about how you’re feeling and what’s resonating. You’re welcome to ask questions or let me know if something doesn’t feel quite right. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your voice is essential from the very beginning. By the end of our intake session, we’ll have a clearer sense of your goals, your strengths, and the direction you’d like to move in. Together, we’ll begin shaping a plan that supports your healing, self‑awareness, and overall well‑being.

I look forward to working with clients experiencing anxiety, depressive symptoms, relationship concerns, and occupational stressors, The clients I am best positioned to serve are clients that are ready for change but yet do not have the tools to support their change.
