I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Texas with over 10 years of experience working as a family mentor, life skills trainer, patient advocate and therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced emotional abuse. My therapy style is direct, interactive, sensitive and warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines behavioral, cognitive, person and solution-focused therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan based on our conversations to meet your unique and specific needs. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I utilize behavioral, cognitive, person and solution-focused therapy in my sessions. Additionally journaling, assignments and outside reading will be utilized when needed.
Having a strong ability to empathize to form a strong connection with clients. My strengths are understanding issues from and women of color perspective and addressing anxieties, relationships, self-esteem and work culture struggles.
