I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working in the fields of substance use and mental health. I am also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), with extensive experience supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
My approach to treatment is grounded in trauma-informed care and a strong belief in the power of self-awareness. I believe meaningful change begins when individuals take the time to understand themselves, their experiences, and how past events have shaped their thoughts, behaviors, and patterns. Through this process of insight and reflection, individuals can begin to develop healthier coping strategies and create lasting change.
While therapy can provide guidance, support, and tools for growth, I also emphasize the importance of personal commitment and motivation in the recovery process. When individuals are willing to engage in that work, therapy can become a powerful space for healing, growth, and transformation.
I became a therapist because I saw how powerfully transformative having a safe space could be in my life and the lives of my loved ones. It is my firm belief that everyone can benefit from therapy if they are well matched to the person they are working with. Over the course of the past decade, I've honed specialty focus on trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+, kink/sex positivity, human sexuality, women's empowerment, relationships and family sessions, and gaining a strong sense of self and direction in the face of challenging life circumstances. If these areas of treatment resonate with you, I'd love to schedule a time to connect about what you are looking for in a therapist.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Communication Studies at UCLA and completed my MSW at University of Southern California. I am licensed in California and Pennsylvania. My clinical focus areas include trauma, relationships, sexuality, gender and the personality disorder spectrum in addition to working extensively with associated comorbidities such as anxiety and depression. I am a believer in whole-person wellness and am able to integrate yogic principles, creative arts and mindfulness into sessions to assist with deeper work.
At the present time I am accepting remote access clients via telehealth; I look forward to meeting you and am excited to work toward your goals with you!
I believe that you have the strength in you to make big changes, and I am here to support and empower you to reach whatever goals you may have set. I understand that your relationship with your therapist is integral to you being successful in reaching your desired results. I have an optimistic mindset and work to encourage and build up the clients I see.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a masters degree in clinical social work and an additional masters in the sex therapy track of a human sexuality of education masters program. I have seen individuals and couples who are struggling with anxiety, familial conflict, communication, intimacy issues, body image, grief and loss, caregiver stress, and challenging life transitions or adjustments.
My approach to therapy is client centered, trauma-informed and strength based. I have been fortunate to have served a variety of individuals with varying needs that include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional regulation, anger issues and grief. I have over a decade of experience providing mental health and support services to individuals of diverse backgrounds in different types of settings. My experience includes working in governmental, community and private settings.
I believe the answers to our issues are within all of us. Through my supportive, caring and skillful style, I partner with my clients to develop insight, coping strategies and increased peace of mind. Our sessions will be dynamic and focused on an individualized plan which we develop together. I am accessible, open and honored to be a part of each and every client I serve.
Together we can find ways around stumbling blocks and discover steppingstones to peace of mind.

I have taken some steps along a deconstruction journey in an effort to support individuals of the global majority and create a safe space for these individuals as well.
As a therapist, the most important aspect of therapy is working together to create goals for therapy and create a path for meaningful change. I have an LPC and an LMFT and have been seeing clients since 1996. I have extensive training in helping people who are going through or have experienced narcissistic abuse and any form of childhood trauma, this includes verbal and emotional abuse, family addictions, or any early childhood experience that would cause one to feel unsafe. I am also experienced in the treatment of anxiety, worry and mood concerns and work with addictions, obsessive compulsive behaviors and any poor coping skills or core beliefs that were developed in order to manage these stressors. I use practices primarily focused on somatic and cognitive therapy but also utilize acceptance commitment therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and am solution focused. I use homework and assignments aimed at regulating the nervous system in order to repair the fight/flight/freeze response that is often stuck on due to a continuous history of a variety of life stressors (trauma). This trapped and stored trauma continues to trigger the nervous system to respond in ways where we continue to feel unsafe, even after the threats have passed. By working with the nervous system to release this trapped trauma and find safety, we can then have the opportunity to respond to the world differently.
