New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Jen and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in Pennsylvania. In my early experience I spent time working with children and families but I have spent the last 16 years working with adults who have lived with severe and persistent mental illness. I have supported many individuals improve quality of life by managing symptoms through treatment. I believe treatment as a whole encompasses intentionality in all areas of life, therapy just being a piece of what sometimes feels like an overwhelming puzzle! I want to provide a safe and trusted space for you to discuss whatever it may be that lead you here today.
In our first sessions together I'd like to work on getting to know you and understanding what will help you feel comfortable in our time together. We can talk about the structure of our sessions and what preferences you may have...if you have no idea what to expect, that's okay, too! I want to learn what brought you to therapy , explore some of your history and help identify goals that I could help you work towards.
I am committed to providing a safe space for us to work together in a collaborative effort. I value what you bring into our sessions and hope to support you with understanding your own strengths. I also want to help you identify any obstacles that may be preventing you from being a healthier and stronger version of yourself while achieving real progress across a variety of life circumstances.
I have a passion for helping individuals feel more grounded and comfortable within their day to day functioning, relationships, goal setting and problem solving. Whether you may be experiencing increased stress around a job, physical health, relationships, ect. I also believe that many factors influence your mental health including the decisions and choices you make. It's important to prioritize what makes you feel best!
