I am licensed marriage and family therapist and credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor. On this platform, I work with individual clients. My approach is cognitive-behavioral strength-based approach. I focus on helping people invalidate negative thoughts and become aware of their strengths. I do so in order to help people improve their confidence and self-esteem and overcome challenges. I also help people improve their boundaries to assist them with preventing others from negatively impacting their confidence and interfering with the development of their goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, clients can expect me to take the time understand them and their problems. The clients are the experts on their lives and I allow them to teach me everything I need to know. I take this time in order to build rapport and to provide effective support. I allow my clients to start where they are comfortable and move at their own pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths as a provider are my patience, humility, respect for my clients, concern for my clients, and my encouragement.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am very experienced with working with clients that struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, and self-esteem concerns. I enjoy working with open-minded individuals that are willing to try new things. I also enjoy working with clients that are enthusiastic and contribute often to the therapy session. It is important for clients to be patient with the process of change.
