LCSW, 20 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in community settings, transitional housing programs, and family court. With a background in the creative arts and a passion for problem-solving, I became a therapist to help others build meaningful lives—just as I sought to do for myself. I integrate clinical expertise with creativity to support clients in developing personalized coping strategies and designing the life they want to live.
During our first session, you can expect plenty of questions! I like to think of it as a fact-finding mission, where we build on the information from our consultation and identify the changes you’d like to see moving forward. My goal is to understand the full picture so we can work together to create realistic, step-by-step goals that lead to your bigger vision.
My approach is all about harm reduction and CBT, but with a creative twist. I combine my clinical know-how with my creative side to come up with tools and strategies that actually fit into your life—not just stuff that sounds good on paper. Think of it like building your own personal toolbox of coping skills you can pull from anytime, whether it’s next week or years from now.
I work with young adults who are in that “figuring it all out” stage of life. Maybe you’re heading to college, starting your first real job, or moving out on your own for the first time. You might be dealing with friend drama, confidence struggles, or just trying to figure out what you want your life to look like. I’m all about creativity and individuality, and I love helping people find their strengths, see things in a new way, and create a life that actually feels like them.
As an evidence based practice, CBT has been proven to help improve anxiety, and from my experience, a lot of what blocks the people I see is their anxiety. I find that this modality, along with my personal skills. I’ve learned in my many years of working with others, helps us stay in the present and find pragmatic ways to change behaviors and thoughts that keep us in distress. I also love to assist in finding lifelong coping skills that can be integrated into our lifestyles.
