New to Grow
Ever feel like life or motherhood reshaped you so deeply that you’re still figuring out who you are now… beyond the diapers, the schedules, and the expectations? I support Black women and mothers who are carrying more than anyone realizes... The pressure, the identity shifts, the silent grief, the anxiety, the constant expectation to be “strong,” and the parts of yourself that get pushed aside while you show up for everyone else. My approach is client-centered, warm, and real. In our work, you don’t have to explain your strength, your exhaustion, or the layers of being a Black woman navigating life and motherhood. You get a space where you can breathe, feel, unravel, rebuild, and reconnect with the woman underneath all the roles. I help women process postpartum changes, overwhelm, burnout, trauma, and the emotional weight that comes with always being the dependable one. Together, we slow down, make room for your needs, and create a path toward healing that feels honest and achievable. If you’re ready for a therapist who truly sees you... the mother, the woman, the human...I’m here to walk with you through this season with compassion, respect, and no judgment.
Working with me goes far beyond learning coping skills. Yes, I’ll teach you practical ways to manage what you’re feeling BUT I’ll also help you understand your body’s stress responses, make sense of your emotions, reclaim the parts of your identity that got quiet, and begin healing in a way that moves you out of survival mode and back into yourself. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, nervous system healing, and real-life lived experience... the kind that allows me to truly see you and support you with compassion and understanding.
I hold space specifically for the emotional realities that black women and mothers carry; The pressure to be strong, the identity shifts, the unspoken grief, the exhaustion that others overlook. My methods combine nervous system work, culturally aware care, and practical tools that help women soften, heal, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that they’ve had to put on pause.
I am here to support women and mothers who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who they’re becoming. If you’re navigating postpartum changes, burnout, or the emotional weight of caring for everyone else, this is a space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the woman underneath all the roles.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help women—especially mothers and Black women—find balance, peace, and empowerment through life’s transitions. DBT allows me to support clients in managing intense emotions, setting healthy boundaries, and showing themselves compassion while creating meaningful change. In our work together, I weave in mindfulness and practical coping skills to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself as you navigate motherhood, identity, and healing.
I offer culturally sensitive therapy that recognizes how your background, identity, and experiences shape your story. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I integrate cultural awareness with evidence-based care, helping you heal, grow, and reconnect with your authentic self.
I use a strength-based approach that focuses on the resilience, wisdom, and power you already have—especially as a Black woman and mother. Together, we’ll highlight your strengths and build on the skills that have carried you this far. This approach helps you feel more confident, capable, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges while honoring your journey
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help Black women and mothers understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we explore patterns that may be holding you back and work on practical strategies to challenge unhelpful thinking. CBT helps you manage stress, build coping skills, and feel more in control—so you can navigate motherhood, life transitions, and everyday challenges with confidence and clarity.
I provide trauma-informed care, approaching therapy with an understanding of how past experiences and trauma can impact your emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I create a safe, supportive space where Black women and mothers can feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we work at your pace to build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and empower you to heal, grow, and reclaim a sense of safety and control in your life.
