New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) with eight years of experience working with a variety of populations. I'm passionate about helping clients improve their sense of self-esteem and overcome past trauma. In terms of personal interests, I enjoy creating art, reading, and being creative all around. I try to incorporate these interests and inspire others within the therapeutic process.
During the first session, I'll introduce myself and share details about what therapy looks like. I'll ask you to share about yourself and what brings you to therapy and complete standard intake questions. We'll get into the details of your case and start working on the things you want to work on between approximately the second to third appointments.
I have personal lived experience that motivates my passion to help others. I experienced various traumas that I have successfully overcome. This lends me a unique perspective to be able to place myself in the shoes of those who've experienced difficult things. I utilize a combination of the following methods: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Art Therapy.
Ideal clients desire to work on resolving past traumas involving relationships, men's issues, reconciling faith and sexuality identity (LGBTQ+), parent-child conflict and connection disparities, immigration/acculturation, and men's issues. He possesses experience working with a wide variety of individuals but specializes working with individuals in these categories. He is comfortable working with all ages from eight years-old and up, and especially enjoys working with young adults and adults.

EMDR
I guide clients through an 8-phase protocol that uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or sounds) to reduce the emotional charge of traumatic memories. It is structured yet flexible, allowing me to blend it with other therapies such as art therapy, focusing on targeting specific memories, reducing distress levels, and replacing negative self-beliefs with positive ones.
