LPC, 10 years of experience
Hello! I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania and have spent the past ten years providing mental health support in outpatient, school, and community settings. My experience includes working as a Behavior Specialist, outpatient therapist and family therapist, supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate a range of emotional and relational challenges. I have a systemic approach using relational and attachment-based theories.
In our first session, we will begin building a therapeutic rapport, giving you the opportunity to determine whether you feel comfortable working with me as your therapist. Throughout treatment, we’ll continue to strengthen that connection. I will provide active listening as we explore your goals and what you hope to gain from therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, and together we will establish a clear direction for your treatment.
As a compassionate and understanding therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and stressors to achieve personal growth and become healthier versions of themselves. I use a strength-based approach to treatment, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe negative thinking and provide new perspectives. I also use psychoeducation to teach and support the development of skills that help regulate the nervous system.
I take pride in providing a safe, empathetic environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. My goal is to create a sense of security while helping individuals build skills and learn techniques to support healthier emotional functioning. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. I also support clients navigating life transitions, relational conflict, and complex family dynamics.
