I have over 10 years experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use disorder, ADHD, bipolar, life stress & the difficulties that arise from these conditions. I use a holistic, client centered approach as you, the client, works collaboratively with me to build an individualized, focused treatment plan that is designed just for you, ensuring we meet all of your needs and goals. I use DBT and holistic client centered approach to teach skills from DBT that helps clients to learn ways to regulate and cope with difficult emotions, improve relationships, decrease anxiety and stress. I also use DBT for building mindfulness skills that supports and provides healthy living habits, offers stability in life while also promoting building a sense of calm happiness and healing.
I use CBT to help clients become more aware of emotions and gain a better understanding of thought processes and unhealthy thinking patterns. I support clients to become more aware of how our emotions and thoughts lead us to our behaviors. Working on increasing awareness of uncomfortable emotions helps clients to process and incorporate coping skills to navigate our feelings and working on stopping unhealthy coping skills. I use CBT to put clients in the driver's seat of their own mind and thoughts. Using CBT tools we can learn to recognize unhealthy thinking patterns and challenge our thoughts to ultimately change them so that our minds can become a source of safety, a strength and a support rather than a barrier to a calm, happy, fulfilling life.
