I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes that feeling safe, understood, and genuinely supported is the foundation for meaningful change. With over 15 years of experience across schools, hospitals, crisis settings, and community-based care, I’ve had the privilege of working with people at many different stages of life—from teens navigating overwhelming emotions to adults facing complex life challenges. My background as both a counselor and school social worker has given me a deep understanding of how early experiences, family dynamics, and life transitions shape who we are. I’ve supported students and families through anxiety, emotional struggles, and difficult situations, and I carry that same patience, empathy, and advocacy into my work with all clients. I’ve also worked in high-intensity environments—including crisis settings, alongside law enforcement, in hospitals, and with veterans, survivors of trauma and domestic violence, and individuals in eating disorder treatment. Because of this, I’m comfortable supporting clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. In our work together, I focus on creating a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. I balance practical tools and coping strategies with deeper exploration, helping you not only manage what you’re going through, but also understand it. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you—whether you’re looking for structure, insight, or simply a place to feel heard. Reaching out for therapy can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of your life.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep respect for the complexity of a client’s histories, identities, nervous system and family dynamics. I work from a psychodynamic and trauma-informed lens, integrating skills associated with EMDR, CBT, acceptance-based, and emotion-focused work to help you process what’s happened to you while also building skills for the present. I specialize in working with adults including LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent clients. I pay close attention to creating space that feels actively affirming – not just “tolerant”. You’ll find that I’m transparent about the therapy process, that I name what I see with care, and that I hold your pain and resilience in mind at the same time.

Hi, I’m Blair, a licensed therapist in North and South Carolina and an AASECT-certified sex therapist. I work with adults who are neurodivergent and navigating mood-related challenges such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and burnout. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel like they’re constantly playing catch-up internally. They may struggle with intense emotions, overthinking, difficulty following through, or feeling stuck in patterns that don’t seem to shift, especially during times of stress or transition. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including DBT, CBT, and EMDR. I focus on helping you understand how your brain and nervous system are operating while also giving you practical tools you can actually use in your daily life. I also integrate specialized training in sexual health and intimacy, supporting clients in navigating connection, communication, and desire in a way that feels safe and informed. The clients I work best with are ready for more than just insight. They want meaningful, lasting change. Together, we focus on improving emotional regulation, reducing reactivity, strengthening relationships, and creating a life that feels more manageable, steady, and aligned with who you are.

Welcome! I am a depth-psychology and somatic-focused therapist with over 26 years of expertise practicing, teaching, and supervising others in the field. I work with women of every life stage. Clients value my non-pathologizing, heart-of-the-matter, clear, and supportive approach. I use proven tools to help women gain authentic emotional awareness, integrate and understand parts of themselves, heal suffering, and create more clarity and ease in their life. The work may include trauma recovery, DBT skills, ego parts work (similar to IFS), dreamwork, soul exploring, CBT, ecosomatic therapy, application of polyvagal theory, mindfulness meditation, nervous system attunement, EMDR for telehealth, and somatic healing. I work with both immediate crises and ongoing issues. Reaching out for support can be challenging -- my focus is to make it as easy as possible. Women I work with are often seeking help with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, chronic pain, PTSD, emotional abuse recovery, highly sensitive person needs, grief and loss, and finding deeper life purpose and career concerns. My past career includes: clinical professor of social work, college campus therapist, mindfulness based stress reduction therapist at Duke Center for Living, integrative health center therapist helping support those with chronic stress, pain, and health issues, and years in private practice. Together, we create an environment for deepening your self-understanding, empowerment, and growth. My approach is practical, focused on long-lasting change, and is based on the following premises: you are your own healer, all healing comes from your ability to understand and connect to your own deepest wisdom so you can integrate and understand, and the human spirit is resilient —when given proper practical attention and tools, you are able to call in your wholeness and integration. My focus is to make the process of working together as easy as possible, and I hope you will reach out!

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW-CP) based in North and South Carolina. I earned my Master’s from Simmons University and have been practicing since 2018. Reaching out for support takes a lot of courage and curiosity—and I want to acknowledge that just by being here, you’re already taking an important step. Life has a way of creating all kinds of transitions. Some can feel like waves of excitement and full of growth and opportunity, while others feel overwhelming, unclear, scary, or just plain hard. I work with people navigating many types of life changes, including (and not limited to): grief and loss, caregiving burnout, medical diagnoses, changes in independence, identity exploration, and retirement. And with those changes often come things like anxiety, depression, loneliness, or feeling disconnected from yourself. My approach is holistic, somatic informed, and person-centered. That means we’ll focus on your strengths, your body and mind, your story, and what matters most to you as we work together to bring more balance, purpose, and joy into your life. You don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to support you.

If your brain never fully shuts off, you overthink everything, or you feel mentally exhausted even when life looks “fine” from the outside, you’re in the right place. I work best with thoughtful, reflective adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together. My approach is conversational, direct, and insight-oriented. I don’t believe therapy is about me having all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you identify patterns, challenge assumptions, explore different perspectives, and uncover solutions that already fit who you are. Clients often appreciate my open-minded approach, curiosity, and ability to create a space where they can think out loud without judgment. Therapy with me is less about being told what to do and more about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to move through the world.

Hey, I’m Mariah! I work with women who look like they have it together on the outside but internally feel exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, and stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. A lot of my clients are the ones everyone depends on. They’re successful, self-aware, high-achieving, and used to pushing through. But underneath that, they’re overthinking everything, emotionally drained, struggling in relationships, and wondering why they still feel so stuck despite years of trying to “work on themselves.” Many have done therapy before and left frustrated because they gained insight but nothing actually changed. My approach is honest, direct, and focused on getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck — not just helping you manage symptoms. I help clients understand the deeper patterns behind their anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional burnout, and relationship struggles so they can stop surviving life on autopilot. I’m not the therapist who just sits quietly and nods for 50 minutes. I’ll challenge you, connect the dots, and help you make real shifts in the way you relate to yourself and others. I also offer private pay therapy for clients looking for more personalized care without the limitations insurance can place on treatment. Clients are able to use HSA/FSA funds to pay for services and are able to receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.

I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.

Having been through a lot in my teenage years into adulthood, where I learned self-confidence, I have found that if I had someone to help me work through issues of stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and many other life factors I would have been successful sooner. I have experience in diverse cultures where I have found I learn just as much from the people around me as they learn from me. Having an open mind and listening to my clients helps me to relate and understand them and develop a treatment plan or plan of action with them that makes them feel comfortable. I have an extensive history helping individuals understand their career path, educational needs, and learning life skills. I have a passion for mental health because of the family history with depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and substance abuse, and it drives me to want to help others. I believe it is important to empower individuals, couples, and families towards a sense of normalcy and autonomy, and developing skills to meet the goals they have for their lives. Taking a holistic approach to counseling I take into consideration the whole person and stive to build a good working relationship with each client to better understand them, helping them feel at ease at a time that may feel stressful and awkward, and helping them navigate life's challenges. In my free time I like to go to the beach, take a walk in nature, and enjoy spending time with my children and 2 dogs. I also enjoy learning, reading, and going to amusement parks when time allows.

I received my Master of Social Work degree in 1999; and since the completion of my degree, I have worked in an array of settings such as child welfare, geriatric case management, end-of-life care, community mental health with adults, teens and children; and addiction recovery. While I have worked with people of all ages who have presented with a variety of physical and mental health problems, I have an extensive background in substance abuse treatment. I have a knack for translating 12-step terminology into more practical terms as it relates to psychotherapy. As a person in long-term recovery myself, I have learned (and wholeheartedly believe) that it takes all possible resources to stay clean and sober, and I can help you find the tools to accomplish long-term recovery. I have also worked in the hospice/palliative care field, and am sensitive to the psychological challenges that arise from addressing our mortality and the ripple effect of serious physical health problems. As a member of the queer community, I can help support and guide you in any issues you are having navigating any related issues you may have. Whatever you are struggling with right now, my promise to you is that I am here to help you identify the root of your problems; and more importantly to find ways to alleviate the distress you have been experiencing, and to establish both short and long-term solutions.

I am a Gottman Couples Therapist located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, focused on helping partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional and physical connection. My work centers on a Marriage Positive approach, grounded in research and compassion, and shaped by over a decade of experience with couples and individuals navigating relationship challenges, conflict, intimacy concerns, and emotional distance. I'm Ehsan Adib Shabahang and I integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gottman Therapy. These evidence-based approaches help clients identify unhelpful patterns, regulate emotions, and create meaningful change lasting beyond therapy. Using structured and collaborative sessions, with a focus on practical skills and deeper understanding of self and partner. I am also the founder of the Self-Reflective Relationship Therapy (SRRT) framework, a model designed to help partners look inward with honesty and compassion. SRRT combines structured exercises with guided reflection to increase self-awareness, empathy, and accountability—the foundation for lasting relational repair. This approach grew from years of clinical work and research into what helps couples not only resolve conflict but transform how they relate to one another. In addition to my work, I am the author of Always and Forever: Goals for a Healthy Relationship, offering couples practical tools for communication, trust, and growth. To build relationships that feels safe, balanced, and emotionally fulfilling. I specialize in couples therapy, sex, premarital counseling, affair recovery, trauma, and individuals seeking to understand their emotions or strengthen their relationship readiness. Clients often describe my style as calm, thoughtful, and engaged. I listen deeply, help clarify the emotions beneath conflict, and guide clients toward connection and repair. If you are looking for a couples therapist in Cambridge, MA, I welcome you to reach out and begin the process of rebuilding trust, deepening intimacy and finding your way back to one another.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, LGBTQ, is filtering therapists in North Carolina that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
