New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works from a holistic, culturally informed perspective, supporting people in reconnecting with their inner strength and sense of self. My approach integrates evidence based therapy with mindfulness and body awareness, honoring the full complexity of each person’s lived experiences. I value small rituals that help us slow down and reconnect with ourselves, moments of silence, exercise, listening to good music, and the warmth of big cups of coffee and tea! I believe these simple moments can create meaningful change when we pause long enough to listen to what our mind and body have been carrying.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your goals, any current challenges, and parts of your personal history that feel important to share. We’ll move at your pace. There’s no pressure to dive into everything right away. My priority is to create a sense of safety, clarity, and collaboration so we can build a foundation for our therapeutic relationship.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is creating a grounded, compassionate space where clients feel both seen and challenged in a supportive way.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is the one who always finds a way through. Many of my clients are high achieving professionals from historically underrepresented communities who are balancing success, family expectations, and identity while trying to care for themselves. In therapy, we slow things down and create space to understand what your mind and body have been carrying. Together we explore relationship patterns, life transitions, generational experiences, and the impact of trauma. Our work blends insight, mindfulness, and body awareness to help you move beyond survival mode toward greater clarity, resilience, and self trust. Therapy becomes a space where you don't have to hold it together, and you don't have to hold it alone.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is often woven into sessions through simple grounding practices, reflection, and pacing that supports the nervous system. For many clients, this becomes a foundation for managing anxiety, burnout, and life changes with more ease and self-trust.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a supportive and flexible framework rather than a rigid, worksheet-driven approach. My work focuses on helping clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, emotional reactions, and behaviors that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or feeling stuck.
Trauma Informed Care
I prioritize emotional safety, choice, and respect for each client’s pace and lived experience. Trauma informed therapy recognizes that stress, anxiety, and emotional patterns are often shaped by experiences and external factors beyond a person’s control. I work collaboratively and move at the client’s pace, without requiring them to revisit or relive experiences before they are ready. This approach supports regulation, creates a sense of safety from within, and helps restore personal trust and emotional stability over time.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a collaborative, forward looking approach that builds on a client’s existing strengths and values. SFBT helps to refine direction and behavioral changes to achieve personal goals.
