I specialize in creating a safe and affirming space for individuals within the LGBTQ+ communities- where I have lived experience, any individuals navigating chronic illness and caregiving, and folks impacted by hoarding behaviors. I understand how important it is to feel heard and validated, especially when dealing with sensitive topics such as anxiety, chronic disorganization, gender identity, transgender health, trauma, depression, boundary setting, communication skills, and more. I write letters of support for gender affirming care.
My approach to therapy is from an intersectional perspective. My style is eclectic and is tailored to each person’s unique needs because I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach. The therapeutic alliance built on trust and rapport, is key to positive outcomes in therapy with me. I strive to foster a warm, inclusive, and person-centered environment. Therapy with me is different! My sessions are truly person-centered, safe, affirming, free from judgement, and a little unconventional. I bring a relaxed atmosphere and lighthearted sense of humor to even the heaviest topics. You are welcome to attend sessions in your pajamas- my dogs may make an appearance from time to time. I have extensive experience in SFBT. This lets us create plans and tasks on how to best solve a tangible concern you have. Chores? School? something else you're struggling to work through, we can take it step by step!
