I stive to help teens and adults struggling with life stressors, anxiety, and/or depression to learn coping skills and aid in shifting their perspectives so that they can go from surviving to thriving.
Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my profile! Therapy should be uniquely tailored to each person. I work with clients to identify patterns of behavior that may have contributed to difficulties in relationships—with family, friends, or at work or school—and help find ways to create positive change. We learn to change our perspective on life, our past, our entire reality, and recognize that we really can control how we think and what we think about.
One of the primary purposes of coming to therapy is to be heard. I am here to listen and work with you to come up with a solution to the problem or issues you may be having.
I've worked with many clients coping with anxiety and depression, in particular, which has led to the development of a different approach that combines parts of a few different proven techniques. This approach is designed to change your perspective on your mental illness and learn new ways to cope, adjust, and adapt.
We work together to find what works!
Personally, I have been managing numerous forms of anxiety (including, at times, OCD and PTSD), depression, and bipolar II disorder since my early teen years, with about a decade battling addiction. Thankfully, I had the support of my family, my wife, my two daughters, and our multiple rescue pups. They're all the motivation and inspiration I need!

I am passionate about guiding you on a transformative journey towards emotional well-being by understanding how you operate and issues you may have developed from your experiences. As well as understanding the people around you and their issues and how they operate. Also by learning how to best care for yourself by setting boundaries enabling you to establish stronger, more connected relationships with the people in your life.
My mission is to create a nurturing, safe space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their inner worlds and discover the power to heal, grow, and thrive as individuals and within their relationships.
If you’re here, you may be carrying experiences that still show up in your body, your thoughts, or your relationships — even if those events happened long ago. You might feel on edge, numb, easily triggered, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself or others. If that sounds familiar, you’re not broken. Your nervous system learned how to survive, and now it may need support learning how to feel safe again.
My name is Amy, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina, also licensed in New Jersey and Connecticut. I’ve been practicing for 13 years and earned my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. While I’ve worked with a wide range of concerns — including anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, grief, and relationship challenges — I specialize in trauma working with PTSD and Complex PTSD.
I work with clients who have experienced trauma in many forms, including childhood abuse or neglect, chronic stress, relational trauma, and significant life disruptions. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I move at your pace, prioritize your sense of safety, and respect your boundaries. You are always in control of what you share and when. Therapy is not about forcing yourself to “relive” anything — it’s about helping your nervous system feel safer and helping you reclaim your sense of choice and agency.
