Hello & welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Board Certified Music Therapist in NJ. My 8 years of experience range from working in an acute psychiatric hospital, to a mental health urgent care, to intensive outpatient, as well as general outpatient. I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy in 2018, my MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2022, and my MA in Music Therapy in 2022. In addition to my identity as a Professional Counselor & Music Therapist, I am active in the performing arts field as a professional vocalist & bassist. It is my strong belief that creativity fuels the soul. This unique perspective translates into my role as a mental health professional.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, you can expect a low-pressure and gentle exploration of what brings you into treatment. We will spend some time getting to know each other, your history with therapy (if any), what has worked, and what hasn't worked in the past. You can anticipate a relaxed, safe, and non-judgmental space where you set the pace that is comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a dually licensed Professional Counselor & Music Therapist, I provide an integrated approach that combines verbal psychotherapy with creative arts therapy to support a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment. I utilize traditional talk therapy interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. All of these modalities are complemented by structured & unstructured creative art therapy techniques that enhance emotional regulation, increase engagement, and facilitate processing when words alone are insufficient. This combined approach supports measurable treatment goals, improves skill building, and promotes nervous system stabilization, particularly for individuals with trauma histories, high stress exposure, or difficulty with verbal expression.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution Focused Therapy to help clients focus on current strengths as well as changes they want to see in their lives. Through collaboration, we work together to identify what is already working and build the necessary steps to achieving goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My CBT lens focuses on helping clients understand the correlation between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Working together, we identify and challenge unhealthy thinking patterns while developing the skills necessary to promote healthier coping strategies.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is an underlying technique across the board as it helps clients explore and strengthen meaningful and impactful change. This method naturally supports resolving ambivalence, increasing confidence, and allows me to meet you wherever you are in your journey.

Narrative

Through Narrative Therapy approaches, I help clients explore their unique story and gain insight through themselves and their experiences. I approach Narrative Therapy ranging from general conversation to more creative approaches such as songwriting, poetry, art creation, or timeline creation.

Trauma Informed Care

Using Trauma Informed Care, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where a client-determined pace is honored. Working together, we will explore how trauma can affect your sense of safety, emotions, and behaviors in the present.
