New to Grow
I am a bilingual Spanish- and English-speaking therapist licensed to provide services to clients located in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. I am certified as an ADHD Specialist and integrate person-centered and culturally sensitive approaches in my work. With over five years of experience, I have supported clients facing a variety of emotional and life challenges. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel understood and empowered to build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
In our first session, I’ll briefly introduce myself, review policies and expectations, and complete an intake to learn about your psychosocial history, presenting concerns, and goals for therapy. The focus will be on getting to know you rather than starting deep therapy right away. I will also complete a risk assessment and create a safety plan if needed, and there will be time for any questions you may have.
My greatest strengths are creating a supportive, culturally sensitive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard and understood. I integrate person-centered, CBT, solution-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor therapy and help clients build both insight and practical coping skills. With over five years of experience, I work with adults facing ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, while also supporting a wide range of other concerns. Being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to provide accessible, culturally responsive care. My approach balances compassion with practical strategies to help clients move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
I’m best positioned to support bilingual Spanish- and English-speaking adults who are navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and a wide range of other emotional, behavioral, and situational challenges that may be impacting their day-to-day functioning, relationships, or overall sense of well-being. Many of the clients I work with are people who feel ready to engage in the therapeutic process, even if they are not sure exactly where to start, and who are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and patterns at a pace that feels safe and manageable for them. I work especially well with individuals who are motivated to build insight and make meaningful changes in their lives, whether that involves improving emotional regulation, developing coping strategies, healing from past experiences, or gaining clarity during times of transition. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning I meet each person where they are and tailor the work to their unique needs, strengths, values, and cultural background. My therapeutic style integrates mindfulness-based practices, person-centered (Rogerian) principles, solution-focused techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a culturally sensitive framework. This allows me to support clients in both understanding their internal experiences and developing practical tools they can use in daily life. I also place strong emphasis on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their goals. In addition, I am equipped to help with a broad variety of other challenges, including stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and adjustment issues. My goal is to support clients in building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and moving toward the changes they want to see in their lives, all while honoring their pace and lived experience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors so they can improve their emotions and cope more effectively.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I utilize Culturally Sensitive Therapy by recognizing and respecting a client’s cultural background and tailoring their approach to align with the client’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy by guiding you to focus on the present moment in a nonjudgmental way, helping you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings so you can respond to them more calmly and effectively.
Psychoeducation
I utilize Psychoeducation by teaching you about your symptoms and how they work, so you can better understand your experiences and feel more equipped to manage them.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize a Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space with empathy and genuine understanding, helping you explore your feelings and find your own solutions at your own pace.
