Hi, I’m Jelysa—founder of Take 2 Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wife, and mom of two. Being a therapist is a huge part of who I am, but so is my family. Juggling real-life responsibilities, caring for others, and trying to stay grounded in the middle of it all gives me a deep understanding of the daily pressures many of us face—especially young women who are trying to find their footing in a fast-paced world. Growing up as the daughter of a therapist, I was surrounded by empathy, connection, and emotional awareness from an early age. My mom showed me that healing doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being present, making space for growth, and learning through our mistakes. She continues to be my role model for resilience and restoration.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 10 years, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings and supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs. I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are, using evidence-based methods and compassionate care to guide our work.
