Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Hey, glad you decided to stop by! You can consider our first session like a no-pressure meet-n-greet. I'll review some info about confidentiality then we can get started getting to know each other. You can share what brings you in, what you want to work on or if you aren't ready to open up yet, that's cool, I can ask you a few questions and we can go from there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic style is open-minded, empowering & collaborative. Some days therapy might look like venting about your week; other days it might mean unpacking long-standing patterns or navigating a crisis. Either way, letting it out can help—and we'll take it at your pace. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and psychoeducation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in suicide prevention, crisis management, stress management, and anxiety reduction for adults and adolescents. My work is grounded in helping clients build practical coping tools while also creating space to talk openly about what’s really going on—no judgment, no pressure, and a little humor when it helps. I work with a lot of men who’ve never been to therapy before but know they need a place to sort through what’s building up. If you’re dealing with anger, stress, anxiety, or just feeling overwhelmed and not sure how to talk about it, we’ll keep it real, practical, and focused on helping you feel more steady and in control. I work with a lot of teens (11+) who haven’t really clicked with therapy before or who struggle to open up to adults. If they’re dealing with anger, behavior issues, stress, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed by friends, family, or school, I focus on building trust first and creating a space where they can talk in a way that feels natural—not forced.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and build practical tools to respond in healthier, more balanced ways.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps you slow down and notice your thoughts and emotions without immediately reacting to them. It’s about learning how to respond with intention instead of getting pulled into stress, overthinking, or old patterns.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, conversation-based approach that helps you explore what’s keeping you stuck and what’s motivating you to change. Instead of pushing advice, we work together to strengthen your own reasons and confidence for making the changes you want.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered therapy is built around the idea that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
