In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Its my priority to foster a safe and comfortable therapeutic space for my clients. During the first few session, I prioritize building rapport with my clients as that is an important foundation for the therapeutic relationship to flourish. Clients share personal history and goals and feelings about their decision to be in therapy while learning more about the therapeutic process and structure.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My authenticity and warmth as a person is felt through my sessions as reported by clients who have successfully met their goals or clients who continue to work through their challenges . My clinical skills and therapeutic modalities such as emotion focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing techniques, person centered approach and acceptance and commitment therapy have successful helped my clients reached their goals of developing healthier relationships through self awareness, increased motivation, increased self compassion and improving overall functioning.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

cognitive behavior therapy allows clients to process, learn to recognize patterns , reframe, challenge and refocus negative thinking patterns and feelings impacting their well-being and ability to see things in a positive perspective.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy will allow clients to develop a healthier insight into their lives by increasing awareness of self and external situations helping clients to learn to accept difficulties with thoughts and feelings while the increase in self awareness allows for clarity in values and commitments to their actions which allows for creating a meaningful life, rather than trying to eliminate distress

Attachment-based

Providing clients insight into their attachment styles and patterns allows clients to process their formative relationships with their caregivers while also allowing them to process their present relationships with partners , friends, peers etc. This model allows clients to understand themselves, their needs, their trauma and triggers , relational expectations, develop healthier communication and relational skills while also helping them foster secure attachments overtime.

Christian Counseling

faith and mental work can coexist . I believe true intimacy with God means being open and vulnerable with every part of your life .Sometimes our trauma and personal experiences in life can hinder that connection with God. My role is helping you recognize those traumatic patterns and process them effectively while reminding you of the love of God and the ultimate gift of Christ which brings peace to our hearts.

This approach allows clients to take more ownership of their lives by identifying personal values, belief system and expectations for themselves while being supported, validated, challenged and provided unconditional regard through the process
