I bring extensive experience from various settings, including treatment centers, community programs, group therapy, and correctional facilities, where I've had the privilege of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapies, tailored to support meaningful behavioral changes. I deeply understand the mental health challenges that can emerge from incarceration and the unique stressors that accompany the journey of rebuilding life afterward.
I’m also dedicated to supporting the family members and loved ones of those struggling with addiction or incarceration, helping them navigate their own emotional journeys with compassion and care. Additionally, I work closely with parents and families of children with complex behavioral issues, providing guidance and support to help them create a nurturing environment for their child’s growth and well-being.
In addition to this, I have experience helping clients through significant life transitions, such as starting a family, navigating college, or going through a divorce. So, here we are. Life’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it? Maybe it feels like you’re starring in a horror movie, except no one handed you the script. I’m Kandace Barkham, and I help people like you. Those who are over the empty platitudes and ready for real change. I have an LCSW/LCADC. I hold a BSW and an MSSW from the Kent School. If you’re looking for a therapist who’s going to sit back, nod silently, and sprinkle some feel-good phrases your way… well, that’s not me. I’m here to help you actually get unstuck, and yes, we might even laugh at the absurdity of it all along the way.
Let’s cut through the nonsense: trauma, addiction, mental health issues. they suck. But you know what sucks more? Pretending like everything’s fine and letting them control your life. Together, we’ll work through the heavy stuff. We’ll get into the mess, sort it out, and figure out how you can finally breathe a little easier. Therapy with me isn’t some endless loop of “and how does that make you feel?” It’s a collaborative process where I bring my expertise to the table, and you bring your courage to face what’s been holding you back.

Are you looking for your life to be different somehow, but you aren't sure exactly what that would look like, or how to make it happen? I can help you identify your most pressing issues, then help you identify solutions that you believe will work and support you while you start to implement changes. I believe you are the most likely person to be able to identify your best solutions, and perhaps all you need is encouragement and acceptance to get started.
I work from a background of existential theory (the idea that our human experiences are shared and we are all looking for meaning, purpose, satisfying relationships, and personal freedom), and I blend cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), motivational interviewing, radical acceptance, and humor into therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a method of learning the connections between our actions, our feelings, our thoughts, and our physical sensations. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a way to encourage positive changes without it feeling overwhelming or scary.
I believe every person deserves care, concern, and a safe space to explore their feelings without judgment or fear. I aim to be easy to talk to, an excellent and attentive listener, and always supportive. I sometimes recommend helpful assignments in between therapy sessions to help you practice new skills and learn hidden truths about yourself. I help people who have been codependent on their partner to become freer to make their own decisions and to trust their partner to do the same. I can help you learn specific techniques to lessen the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances.

Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Indiana.
Entering into a counseling relationship can be a scary thing for many people. Some folks are hesitant about therapy, perhaps based on past experiences. Others are considering therapy for the first time and they don’t know what to expect from their counselor nor have any idea of what might be expected of themselves. Whatever your background, I applaud you for taking a first step and inquiring about counseling.

Hello, I am so glad you are here! Life can be overwhelming at any stage and challenges we face can make this even more difficult. It can be hard to know where to start to make changes or where to turn to for help. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LCAC) based in Indiana. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University and Master's from Indiana University and have been practicing for more than twenty years. I provide that listening ear that so many of us need. It is my goal to help those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or other mood disorders increase their understanding of these emotions as well as how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected in order to empower you to live your best life.
I am a therapist with over 30 years of experience helping people. I enjoy helping people overcome challenges and move toward their goals. The focus of my work is helping people develop healthy coping skills so they can grow and change. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing therapeutic space for people to explore their thoughts and feelings so they can move forward.
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) based in Michigan. I received my master’s from Indiana University and have been practicing for 6 years with over 10 years of social work experience. I help people in a variety of circumstances find coping, healing and authenticity. I am client centered and relationship oriented. Meaning, I strive to help those struggling to cope, heal and process life’s difficulties with a genuineness and open minded approach.
With over two decades of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings and roles. I bring this professional background to my practice, but my core desire remains the same: to be a warm, supportive presence as I guide you on your journey.
I work from a relational focus, which means our work together will prioritize how you connect—with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. My goal isn't just to help you navigate challenges, but to help you build a stronger, more authentic connection to your life. I'm here to walk alongside you, offering guidance and support as you discover a greater sense of peace and well-being.
I help people map their next steps with clarity and precision. As a veteran and an AuDHD clinician, I’m naturally quick at seeing how the different moving parts of your life connect — nervous system patterns, trauma responses, executive functioning, relationships, and identity.
My work is short-term and highly focused. Most clients meet with me for 1–6 sessions as a structured consulting-style boost rather than long-term traditional talk therapy. You don’t need to replace your current therapist — think of this as specialized support to help you get unstuck, identify what’s breaking down, and build a practical plan forward.
Sessions are direct, structured, and tailored to how you actually function. We spend less time circling the story and more time identifying patterns, stabilizing the system, and developing tools you can immediately use in daily life — especially around trauma, neurodivergence, chronic stress, narcissist abuse recovery, or major transitions.
I offer secure telehealth sessions in IN, AZ, TX, NH, and IL. I also use AI tools to support accurate practice operations with informed consent.
If you’re tired of spinning in circles and want a clear, actionable understanding of how you work, I’d be glad to help.

Hi there, I'm Farah Ali.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and dedicated advocate for my clients. My educational foundation is based in psychology and social justice, having earned my master's degree in social work with a dual concentration in community practice and clinical mental health. Driven by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, I am dedicated to advocating for every individual I work with and the communities I am part of.
My Core Principles as a Therapist:
Focusing on Strengths & Empowerment: Central to our work is helping you to more deeply connect to—and really use—your inherent strengths. This means looking for growth opportunities where some might find roadblocks and accessing both internal and external resources to help you make the changes you want to see in your life.
Working for Comprehensive Wellness: Therapy is a place where we can work toward mental and emotional wellness, learn how to foster positive relationships, and discover a greater sense of balance and ease in your day-to-day life.
Promoting Connection & Authenticity: The relationship we have is vital, which is why I work hard to make sure our relationship is a nurturing space for meaningful growth.
Creating Safety in Being Seen: I strive to make our sessions a place where every emotion is valued, encouraged, and supported—yes, even the “bad” or “undesirable” emotions. This is the space we cultivate together in our work, and space that is here to help you more deeply see yourself, and be seen in your authenticity.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy. My work mainly focuses on helping clients understand and manage the effects of trauma, chronic stress, and overwhelming life events. I use evidence-based, trauma-focused methods to help clients develop emotional regulation, boost self-awareness, and regain safety and stability. Many clients face anxiety, relationship issues, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or trauma-related patterns. Therapy is a collaborative process, carefully paced to let clients participate comfortably without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Earlier in my career, I mainly worked with children and adolescents. Currently, I focus on supporting adults and couples, while still working with teen clients. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you, strengthen what’s already good inside you, and work toward becoming the most aligned, grounded, and empowered version of yourself—at a pace that feels right for you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in the Social Services field for over 17 years. I have had the pleasure of working with various populations and clients of various backgrounds. I truly enjoy the growth that takes place through the therapeutic process. It takes a lot of courage to take this step and I applaud you ahead of time.
