About me

Welcome, I am so glad you're here! If you are struggling to manage heavy emotions, feeling stuck in your relationships, or trying to figure out who you are, you do not have to carry that weight alone. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I specialize in supporting teens and young adults as they navigate life's biggest challenges. My practice is deeply client-centered and collaborative. You are the expert of your own life and together we will work as a team. I will do my best to create a safe, judgment-free space while we explore what you are going through.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, the primary goal is to see if we are a good fit for one another. I like to view our first session as a get to know you conversation. We will go over some logistical items and then discuss what it is that brings you to therapy, goals that you have, and space for you to ask any questions you may have. At the end of our session we will decide together what moving forward will look like and schedule a regular session time. Therapy is a journey we will take together, completely at your pace. I look forward to connecting with you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic style is rooted in Emotion-Focused Therapy. Instead of just talking about your problems on the surface, we will look closely at the underlying emotions driving your thoughts and behaviors. We will work to understand your feelings, process past hurts, and build practical tools that help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a teenager or young adult who is motivated for therapy, wanting to grow in their exploration of their personal identity. They are struggling to identify different emotions they experience on a daily basis and desiring to grow in their understanding of themselves. They possess and natural curiosity about their own mind and behavior. They wish to work together as a team in therapy.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy is based on the understanding that our emotions shape our thoughts and behaviors. We will explore patterns and reactions and begin to understand how our emotions shape our thoughts and behaviors. Together we will learn to sit with your biggest and heaviest emotions and understand what they are telling you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts, your feelings, and your behaviors are all deeply connected. We will use this method in therapy to help provide you with practical, thought shifting tools that compliment deep emotional healing. We will use CBT to help identify negative thoughts of your inner critic, and help stop negative behavior patterns, along with adding helpful tools such as mindfulness exercises or tips for having tough conversations.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We will use ACT to learn how make room for big emotions and heavy thoughts that we struggle with without letting them control us. ACT is all about learning how to take back control of your life even if you feel afraid or stuck. Together we will discover what you value and work together to commit to move towards those values, despite the hard things that you may still be experiencing.
