About me

Hello! My name is Anna, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Indiana. I have been practicing for 8 years and have experience working within outpatient, residential, and higher education settings. I currently offer virtual, individual therapy services for adults. My clinical experiences and interests include working with anxiety disorders, neurodivergence, depression, grief, identity-related concerns, life transitions, relationships, family stressors, attachment, trauma, and advocacy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our initial session, I will focus on creating a supportive space to learn about you, your current concerns, primary hopes for the therapy space, as well as explore any important background information you wish to share. I value authenticity as well as reciprocal conversation and encourage you to ask me questions to get to know me to feel more comfortable as well.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a relational therapist, I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools to promote personal growth, insight, and self-compassion. My eclectic approach enables me to meet you where you are and provide personalized treatment with appropriate modalities.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to help those who are experiencing feelings of overwhelm, anxiousness, frustration, and uncertainty in moving forward, often impacted by their own historical experiences that have shaped current patterns. I often work with adults who are seeking support in navigating experiences such as life transitions, personal identity, relational patterns, neurodivergence, anxiety, and depression. I offer a supportive, affirming, yet challenging space to explore your concerns and experiences as they relate to your personal growth.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I have been using an attachment-based approach with clients for the past 5 years which has allowed many clients to examine their past experiences and discover how these relational experiences have shaped current ways of thinking, behavioral patterns, and their personal relationships.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT allows clients to expand their window of tolerance and acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions while acting in a way that is aligned with their personal values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many clients have benefitted from examining their own ways of thinking in order to understand the relationship between their thought processes, related emotions, and behaviors. CBT based coping strategies can be helpful tools in managing emotional distress and disrupting unhelpful cycles.
