Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here! I am a therapist with a background in Clinical Social Work and Sociology, holding a Master’s degree from the University of Southern Indiana. My passion is supporting clients as they navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with themselves in meaningful, practical, and sustainable ways. I take a holistic, integrative approach that blends talk therapy with mindfulness, somatic awareness, and nature‑inspired practices. My work is centered around understanding your unique experiences and helping you build tools that support emotional regulation and overall well‑being. Together, we’ll create a warm, supportive space where you can explore your story, strengthen your connection to yourself, and move toward the version of your life that feels grounded and authentic.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, I approach the conversation as a two‑way interview. It matters to me that you feel comfortable, understood, and confident that the space we create together is a good fit for the kind of healing you’re seeking. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been navigating, and what you hope will feel different in your life. I’ll also answer any questions you have about my style, the therapeutic process, or what working together might look like. From there, we’ll begin shaping a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs, strengths, and circumstances. My goal is for you to leave the first session with a sense of clarity, collaboration, and direction as we move forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in creating a warm, grounded, and non‑judgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, drawing from mind‑ and body‑based methods to support healing on emotional, cognitive, and somatic levels. I enjoy helping clients reconnect with themselves through mindfulness, body‑based awareness, and nature‑inspired practices that can be used both in and outside of sessions. I incorporate both talk therapy and somatic‑based interventions to ensure I am supporting the whole person, not just one part of their system.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with clients who are drawn to regulating their nervous system, improving focus, or navigating and healing trauma through a grounded, mindful approach. My ideal client is someone open to integrating nature‑inspired practices, sensory awareness, and body‑based skills into their therapeutic work, alongside the talk therapy they may already be familiar with.
Somatic
I incorporate somatic, body‑based approaches to help clients understand how their emotions, stress, and past experiences show up in the body. Through gentle awareness practices, grounding techniques, and nature‑inspired regulation skills, clients learn to tune into their nervous system, release stored tension, and build a deeper sense of safety and connection within themselves. This approach is especially supportive for trauma, anxiety, and ADHD, where the body often holds important information that talk therapy alone may not reach.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use Mindfulness‑Based Therapy to help clients stay present and grounded in the moment. By incorporating mindfulness techniques, clients develop greater self‑awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore and harmonize the different “parts” of themselves. This approach supports healing from both internal and external conflicts by fostering curiosity, compassion, and understanding toward each part. Through this work, clients gain deeper self‑awareness, emotional balance, and clarity as they move through life’s challenges.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I utilize Trauma‑Focused CBT to help clients uncover and address the root causes of their trauma. Together, we challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and strengthen emotional well‑being in a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.
Strength-Based
I use a Strengths‑Based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their natural abilities and inner resources. By focusing on what’s going well and amplifying those strengths, clients gain confidence, resilience, and a clearer sense of direction as they work toward their personal goals.
