Congratulations on seeking therapy! Most people who seek therapy or counseling report that they experience an improvement in mood and anxiety. Unfortunately, many folks have to wait weeks to see a therapist. Timing is everything and I can generally see you within 48 hours. I believe I am easy to talk to and approachable. Therapists are excellent listeners and I will be honest with you, rather than just agreeing or dismissing your opinions. If you see me and we establish a plan, you will be able to determine how much you need and for how long. Since what we will be doing involves Telehealth, I ask that you cancel ahead of time if you cannot meet per schedule. I will do my best to accomodate your schedule. As your therapist, I will: Respect your privacy Respect your schedule Respect your opinions and values Respect the severity and urgency of your difficulties Make myself available when you need assistance Help you find answers and solutions rather than feeling “stuck"

Families today are under a great deal of pressure, and many parents and children feel overwhelmed as a result. When stress builds over time, relationships can suffer—especially within families. I believe understanding these patterns is one of the most important steps toward meaningful change. I bring over 38 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I offer a supportive, strength-based space where people can slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and begin to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I work with ADHD, anxiety, depression, school-related concerns, divorce, and family relationship challenges. My approach is thoughtful and direct while remaining respectful and collaborative. I view children’s struggles within the context of their families and believe lasting change happens when caregivers are actively involved and supported.

Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. Life can be so challenging, and sometimes we can seem to lose our way – getting lost in the spinning, the confusion, the uncertainty. Emotions can feel like they spiral or swing so rapidly that it can feel difficult to find stable ground, let alone direction for our lives. Maybe you have experienced this – that shift between anxiety & depression & irritability – that sense of feeling lost or struggling to see a way forward in your life. Working with adults and seniors over the past 15 years, in inpatient settings, intensive outpatient treatment, and individual therapy, I am an empathetic ear and a believer that growth and change are always possible, no matter how lost we may feel.

Stop. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. My practice has been focused on decreasing the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety in both adults and children through a mind and body approach. While working with children and adults there is a focus on the present while relieving symptoms caused by the past. Therapy is a relationship between a provider and client that supports positive change. I have witnessed these changes while working with each of my clients and as a client myself. I truly believe that I can help you and/or your children improve your mood and decrease negative behaviors.

Hello! My name is Trevor Sowders, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many walks of life, providing treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, and life transitions. My approach is flexible and collaborative—I tailor each session to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. I began my career studying neuroscience but soon realized I wanted to work directly with people rather than the lab’s “less talkative” test subjects. That curiosity about how the brain works now informs my therapy practice, where I combine science-based approaches with empathy and practicality. I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Whether you’re processing trauma, managing anxiety, or working through a major life transition, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward growth and balance—all while staying grounded, approachable, and respectful of your values, culture, and beliefs.

I am a compassionate, thoughtful, and grounded provider who values creating a safe, supportive space where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered. My approach is rooted in meeting people where they are while helping them move toward meaningful growth and healing at a pace that feels right for them. I believe every person has a unique path, and my role is to help illuminate possibilities, build on strengths, and support lasting change. In addition to my work as a therapist, I also bring experience as a veterinary social worker, which has deepened my understanding of the emotional challenges that can come with caregiving, grief, loss, and life transitions. This background allows me to offer added compassion and support, especially for clients navigating the unique bond between humans and animals or the stress that can come with caring for a beloved pet. With a warm and collaborative style, I strive to make therapy feel approachable, respectful, and genuinely connected to each client’s needs. I bring curiosity, care, and intention to my work, and I value helping clients navigate challenges while also reconnecting with their sense of self, purpose, and direction. I am Becka Oberle and I am a licensed Clinical social worker who has worked in the counseling field for 30 plus years. My approach to my work is very client centered but also engage person to person allowing my clients to feel more comfortable while still creating a therapeutic relationship and environment. I am goal focused and like to always I provide actions and tools for my clients so they are making continuous growth. I have used many tools in my career knowing not everyone connects in the same way and thinking outside the box is vital. In my career 3 of my dogs have worked with me as trained therapy dogs and one of my horses worked with me doing equine therapy. I look at each person as an individual and use their strengths and talents to help them learn to express and walk through life's struggles. I find not everyone is most comfortable with talking or writing so will encourage a client to use a drawing journal to express feelings when that is something they enjoy and feel more confident in using. I am a christian based counselor and will, at client request, use a faith based approach that can add an added support for the client. I am so blessed to have had this as my career and have worked with clients of all ages starting my career on the cancer center a Riley hospital for Children, moving to a locked unit with juvenile offenders ages 5-11, equine assisted therapy for at risk teens, to working with seniors in long term care or living at home. I am now doing my work from home making the progression as people have been given this as a source of support and allowing them to get help from home.

In 2008, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. After 10 months of treatment, I realized I wanted to work with other cancer fighters and their loved ones. Since my career change to social work and therapy, my experience has broadened to include refugee resettlement, hospice social work, medical social work, and trauma-informed therapy. I am passionate about supporting my clients through grief, trauma, chronic and terminal illness, anxiety, depression, couples counseling, family therapy, and parent training. My goal is to foster an environment where my clients feel supported, validated, and empowered.

Hello, my name is Christina H. I have been a therapist since 2020 but I have been in the mental health field since 2016. I am a wife and mother of 4 children. I work at a community mental health agency full-time working with adults with severe mental illnesses and also have experience working with individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities as well. I am open to working with all populations but my favorites would have to be people who are trying to figure out who they are and what their purpose is, people dealing with life changes and trying to cope effectively, and people who just need help getting through the day to day stressors with some support. Whatever your issue may be, I am up for the challenge and hope I can help to make things better for you!

How much of your life is spent waiting to feel confident enough to live it? I’m Fred, a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults struggling with anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, and major life stress. My practice is direct, collaborative, and practical. I draw primarily from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches. A lot of people come to therapy believing they need more confidence, more clarity, or more certainty before they can move forward. Often, confidence is built differently: by learning to act, adapt, and make meaningful decisions even while doubt, anxiety, and difficult emotions are still present. Together, we’ll work on changing the patterns that keep you stuck and building the flexibility and confidence to move toward the life you want.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will. From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas? The duality of life. Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress. My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
