(she/her)
Hello, I’m Suzette, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, and women’s issues. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, deal with pressure, and are trying to manage relationships and daily responsibilities. I also work with athletes and high-performing individuals who are dealing with confidence, pressure, and the mental side of performance. My style is direct, supportive, and focused. In our work together, we’ll talk through what’s going on, identify what’s getting in the way, and focus on helping you move forward with more clarity and confidence.
In our first session, we will focus on what is going on and what led you to start therapy now. I will ask questions to understand your current challenges, how long they have been showing up, and how they are affecting your day-to-day life. We will also talk about what you have already tried, what has or has not worked, and what you feel stuck with. We will start with identifying what you want to work on and begin pinpointing patterns and triggers so we understand what may be getting in the way. This session is mainly about getting a clear picture of where you are and setting a direction for our work. I am going to be honest with you, ask thoughtful questions, and help you look at things from a different perspective. I will not just sit and listen. I will engage with you so that we are making progress. At the same time, this is a space where you can be real without feeling judged. Before we end, we will start outlining your goals and what to expect in future sessions.
My strengths as a provider are honesty, directness, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach. I’m going to be honest with you, even when it’s hard, and support you through it. I help individuals work through anxiety, depression, grief, and life changes that feel overwhelming or hard to manage. Many of the people I work with are dealing with pressure, relationship stress, or trying to keep everything together while feeling stuck. I focus on helping you understand what is driving your thoughts, behaviors, and patterns so you can start making different choices. Whether that means setting boundaries, managing stress, or working through difficult experiences, the goal is to help you move forward in a way that feels clearer and more manageable.
I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating life transitions, managing stress, or facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, sports performance, or women’s issues. I understand that life can be overwhelming. I’m here to provide a collaborative and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, develop coping strategies, and work toward personal growth. I excel in helping clients who are ready to address their unique needs and make meaningful changes to achieve a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use solution-focused therapy to help clients make positive changes by focusing on their strengths and goals. We work together to find practical solutions and take steps toward achieving your desired outcomes in a supportive and friendly therapeutic environment.
Strength-Based
In our sessions, we'll be using a therapeutic approach called strengths-based therapy, which means we'll emphasize and build upon your individual talents and positive qualities to address challenges and reach your goals. This approach is rooted in the belief that you have the inner resources to make meaningful changes in your life, and together, we'll tap into these strengths to drive positive transformations. My role is to guide and support you in harnessing these abilities to achieve the outcomes you desire.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and transforming thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to your challenges. Together, we'll explore your thoughts and emotions, develop practical strategies to address them, and work towards positive change.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In our sessions, we'll explore mindfulness-based therapy, which is like a mental workout for staying in the present moment. It's about becoming aware of your thoughts and feelings without being too hard on yourself. By practicing mindfulness, you'll not only learn how to manage stress and tough emotions but also gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop useful tools for improving your well-being.

The first session with Suzette was amazing. She was kind, warm, and made me feel right at home. Talking to her was like talking to a close friend but with more insight and guidance. I've never done therapy before, but I can't wait to continue this journey with her.
