I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I’m passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, work through life’s challenges, and develop practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or a difficult life transition, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. You’ll have a safe, welcoming space to share your concerns at your own pace, without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll explore what you’ve been experiencing, identify what you hope to change, and begin looking at patterns that may be contributing to your struggles. You can expect a collaborative conversation, thoughtful questions, and an opportunity to discuss how we can work together toward your goals. My priority is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the steps ahead.
Strengths
I bring a warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach to therapy. With over 10 years of experience, I help clients look beyond surface-level symptoms to understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be contributing to their struggles. I offer honest feedback, guidance, and practical tools while creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also understand yourself more deeply and build lasting change in your life.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, struggling with past experiences, or navigating difficult relationships and life transitions. They may understand that something needs to change but feel unsure how to move forward or why they keep responding to situations in the same ways. I enjoy working with clients who are open to self-exploration and ready to better understand themselves, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change. My approach combines compassion, honest feedback, and practical tools to help clients uncover the roots of their struggles and feel more confident navigating life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, explore how past experiences may shape current beliefs, and learn practical ways to challenge negative thinking and develop healthier responses. I take a collaborative, hands-on approach by offering guidance, real-life strategies, and exercises clients can practice between sessions. My goal is to help clients gain insight into their patterns, feel more in control of their emotions, and build skills they can use long after therapy ends.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. Together, we work on accepting difficult feelings, learning to step back from unhelpful thoughts, and identifying personal values that can guide meaningful change. I help clients focus less on trying to control every thought or feeling and more on taking practical steps toward the life they want, even when things feel uncomfortable. My goal is to help clients build psychological flexibility, increase self-awareness, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients better understand and manage their emotions, navigate difficult situations, and build healthier relationships. Together, we focus on practical strategies for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and setting boundaries. I help clients learn how to respond to challenging emotions and situations more effectively rather than feeling overwhelmed or reacting in ways that no longer serve them. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, improve communication, and develop healthier ways to cope with life's challenges.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and change when given the right support and tools. I strive to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients can explore their experiences, emotions, and challenges at their own pace. By offering empathy, encouragement, and honest feedback, I help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered to make changes that align with their needs and goals.
