New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Navy veteran who is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion, respect, and practical support. I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, veterans, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns. At Anchor Point Wellness, I strive to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to move forward with confidence and hope.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal strengths, and goals for treatment. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can ask questions, feel understood, and leave with a clearer sense of how we can work together.
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. As a Navy veteran and experienced therapist, I bring both professional knowledge and real-world perspective to our work together. I balance empathy and support with gentle encouragement, helping clients recognize their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for them. I believe healing happens through connection, trust, and a collaborative partnership built on respect and understanding.
I work well with adolescents, adults, older adults, veterans, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, stress, or family conflict. My ideal clients are motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
Other specialties
I identify as
Trauma Informed Care
I provide a safe, supportive space where clients can share their experiences without judgment. I recognize how past experiences can affect emotions, relationships, and daily life, and I work collaboratively with clients at a pace that feels comfortable while building coping skills, resilience, and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or other challenges. Together, we learn practical skills to develop healthier ways of thinking, improve coping strategies, and create positive changes in daily life.
Motivational Interviewing
I help clients explore their goals, values, and reasons for change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Rather than telling clients what to do, I work alongside them to strengthen motivation, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want.
Narrative
I help clients examine the stories they tell about themselves and their experiences. Together, we identify strengths, resilience, and alternative perspectives that can help clients move beyond problems and create a more hopeful and empowering path forward.
Psychoeducation
I help clients better understand their emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and mental health concerns. Learning how stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships affect daily life can empower clients to make informed decisions, develop healthy coping skills, and feel more confident in their healing journey.
