About me

Welcome! If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just tired of being the strong one, I offer a safe, welcoming space where you can be heard. This is your time! My style is open, down-to-earth and attentive. I will listen without judgement to what matters to you: patterns you've been living with, strengths you rely on, and fears and hopes you might not have voiced yet.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I hope that in our first session you will feel heard and cared for. I want to get to know you and figure out what brought you to therapy. We'll identify your goals for therapy and talk about how we can work towards them.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In our first session, I want to get to know you, your priorities and what brought you to therapy. Together we'll identify your goals and go from there. I will not tell you what to do. I'm not a therapist because I have it all figured out, but because I know how helpful it is to process complicated thoughts and feelings. I will actually listen to you, help you sort through what is most important to you and feel empowered to live the life you want.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with motivated and introspective people who need to get through a challenge period or who want to take their inner processing out loud. Whether that's adjusting to life transitions, thinking through difficult decisions, deconstructing religious beliefs or acknowledging high functioning anxiety. I have worked for many years in palliative care and hospice with people living with serious illness. I understand that loss can come in many forms, whether it's loss of a person, identity, abilities, or a home. The list goes on... I am especially interested in the loss that can come with evolving religious beliefs. Maybe you're in full deconstruction mode and have lost the religious community you used to rely on. Or maybe you're still practicing but are rethinking your approach. I will approach with a religious neutral tone no matter where you are in your journey.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I like to use ACT to help you consider what is most important in your life so you can live intentionally and in alignment with your values.

Motivational Interviewing

My approach is focused on really listening to you so you can listen to yourself. I am here to facilitate your access to your own inner wisdom.

Strength-Based

I like to incorporate positive reframes to highlight your inner strengths when appropriate. You may be stronger than you think!

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a really helpful foundation in therapy to get in touch with and build acceptance of your own thoughts and feelings. It does take practice to stay grounded in the present moment.
