New to Grow
Hi, I’m Andrew. I’m a therapist and a veteran, and I’ve worked with people from all walks of life—especially those dealing with stress, trauma, addiction, and tough transitions. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood and supported, but also challenged in a healthy way. I use practical, evidence-based tools to help you build insight, confidence, and real change. I’m here to walk with you—not just talk at you—so you can get to a place where life feels more manageable and meaningful.
In your first session with me, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you in. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—I’ll ask some questions to understand your background, your goals, and what’s been going on lately. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, what you can expect from me, and what you’d like to get out of this process. It’s a chance for you to feel things out and see if this feels like the right fit.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to connect with people authentically, meet them where they’re at, and hold space without judgment—even when things are messy. I bring a balance of realness and accountability, and I’m not afraid to challenge clients when it’s needed, but always in a way that’s grounded in respect. My military background helps me stay calm in crisis and see things from multiple angles, while my clinical training allows me to bring structure and strategy to the process. Above all, I value honesty, consistency, and creating a space where people can rebuild trust—in others and in themselves.
I’m in the best position to support individuals who are facing challenges with trauma, addiction, emotional regulation, and life transitions. I especially connect with people who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or stuck—whether it’s teens trying to find their voice, adults rebuilding after setbacks, or veterans navigating life after service. My approach is real, grounded, and focused on helping clients feel seen while building the tools to create real change.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. We work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and learn practical skills to challenge and replace them. The goal is to build more balanced thinking, healthier coping, and greater control over how you respond to life’s challenges.
I use DBT to help you build skills for handling emotions, relationships, and tough situations without feeling overwhelmed. It’s all about learning how to stay in control, communicate better, and manage stress in a way that actually works in real life. We focus on things like mindfulness, coping tools, and finding a middle ground when things feel black-and-white.
I use Motivational Interviewing to help you figure out what you really want and what might be getting in the way. It’s not about me telling you what to do—it’s about working together to explore your goals, build motivation, and make changes at your pace. I’ll ask questions, listen, and support you without pressure or judgment.
