Calli Ford
Hi, I'm Calli Ford, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing online therapy for adults in Indiana and Idaho. If you're feeling overwhelmed, questioning yourself, or struggling with experiences that still affect you, I offer a place to talk openly and feel understood. I'm warm, open-minded, and down-to-earth, with a sense of humor that has a place in therapy, too. My approach is conversational and collaborative. I'll listen closely, recognize your strengths, and offer honest feedback with kindness. You can expect me to ask thoughtful questions and gently challenge patterns that may be getting in your way, while respecting your beliefs, choices, and pace.
My work includes supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, grief and loss, mood disorders, relationship concerns, and self-esteem.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Boise State University and began practicing therapy in 2017. My work includes supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, grief and loss, mood disorders, relationship concerns, and self-esteem. I also have experience working with couples and families. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing, choosing approaches that fit your needs. I value helping you understand what you're experiencing, including how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences connect. Our work can include practical ways to manage overwhelming emotions, communicate your needs, set boundaries, and build trust in yourself. We'll identify goals that matter to you and check in on how therapy is helping, so you can use what you learn in everyday life. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. Bring your questions, uncertainty, and yourself. We can begin there.
First session
I will help you through the entire process and be very transparent about what we are doing and why we are doing it. I will always encourage questions and input throughout the process. I know it is hard to make the decision to go to therapy...to trust someone else, that you don't even know, with your life struggles. It isn't easy sharing with those you are close to sometimes so sharing with a stranger is scary, but I promise you won't be alone. We can do this together.
Strengths
Empathy, curiosity, warmth, humor, honesty, compassion, insight, patience, and practical guidance.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adult who may feel overwhelmed, struggles with self-doubt, or finds that past experiences affect daily life and relationships. They may be facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or grief and want a warm, honest therapist who welcomes questions and values humor. They’re curious about themselves and willing to explore change, even if they feel uncertain or don’t know where to begin. I work with a diverse group of clients from those dealing with trauma, mood disorders, those who are neurodivergent, anxious, struggling with depression, veterans, and many more.
Treatment methods
Trauma-Informed Care
I actually use many different treatment methods because I feel I need to tailor my treatment to my clients. I have had education in trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and many others and each client has different needs. It's important to me that I meet my clients where they are in life and circumstances and be inclusive on the different therapies because I feel that just one therapy doesn't completely fit every client. I use CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and many others.
