New to Grow
Hi! My name is Bianca, I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent over a decade in the lives of people who needed someone in their corner. From community centers to classrooms to living rooms, I've worked alongside children, families, teenage girls finding their voice, kids who had every reason not to trust another adult, and everyday people just trying to make it through. That range shaped me. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families carrying trauma, transitions, and the weight of just trying to hold it together — and I'm committed to making sure cost is never the reason someone doesn't get support. People heal when they feel safe and truly seen. That's the work.
You can expect a free-flowing conversation, primarily focusing on your immediate needs, who you are, and where you come from.
While still being clinically based my approach is free flowing and flexible, aiming to make the client as comfortable and safe as possible. I like to hold space for a range of emotions seeing humor and tears as one of the best ways to cope and understand certain situations.
My ideal client is anyone carrying something they haven't quite found the words for yet. Whether life has you overwhelmed, at a crossroads, or you're just ready to do something different. You will be welcome and safe here. No judgment, no pressure. Just real support in a space where you can breathe, grow, and figure out what thriving actually looks like for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Common but essential, CBT allows me as the clinician to take a deeper look at how the individual's mind works, as it relates to decision making and other life outcomes, from there I am usually able to meet the client or family where they are and work collaboratively to reach the client's goals. CBT is my preferred method of treatment for the past 8 years. This modality has been essential as it related to helping one to navigate life stressors and daily social/emotional interactions.
Attachment-based
Attachment-based treatment is also another preferred method of treatment, I have found that it is a very important part of the therapeutic process to understand where a client or family has come from and who raised them. Nature vs. Nurture. This modality has been key when working with clients navigating relational issues.
Trauma-Focused CBT
Throughout my practice, understanding the individuals positive and negative experiences is a great part of what has allowed me as the clinician to help client's gain insight into their own thoughts, behaviors, decisions, and outcomes.
Motivational Interviewing
This has been key in meeting clients exactly where they are from the very first session. Asking the client questions, that allows them to reflect on their own answers, which in turn helps the individual to reflect on their own mindset and possible ambivalence to change.
