Hello, I name is Richard Rogers and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 40+ years experience. I provide therapy to individual's and family's. I tend to be quite direct and to the point, as a means of respect. While most of us have been hurt/victimized by someone who loved us or were supposed to love us, we have survived. This is how I approach/interact with those in therapy, as Survivors We will work together by identifying strengths, improving those strengths and developing additional coping skills to improve your life
Direct and to the point - "Why are we here?/What are we going to improve?" while we learn about each other. Humor
- Direction communication - genuine - empathic - funny/humorous when appropriate - we will not "try" rather we WILL improve the identified area of need
Richard Rogers offers therapy covered by Managed Health Services (Managed Medicaid), Medicaid - Managed Health Services and UnitedHealthcare/Optum - Medicaid in Indiana.
I find CBT to be useful in changing our behavioral choices which in turn improves our emotional functioning. We don't choose how we feel but we do choose how we act. Often our actions are strongly influenced by our emotions, so more effective management of our emotions will result in better behavioral choices promoting over all well being
