LMSW-C, 6 years of experience
Hello and welcome to therapy! My name is Liz and I am a licensed clinical social worker currently practicing in Michigan and Indiana. With a variety of experience over the past 7 years, I am most passionate about helping survivors of interpersonal violence heal and move forward. Reach out if you think we might be a good fit - I look forward to working together.
The first session is often the hardest - it can be difficult to spill your guts to a stranger! In our first session, we will take time to introduce ourselves and talk through what brought you to therapy. You never have to share anything you don't want to share.
I meet clients where they are at while challenging them to grow and evolve. As a trauma-informed and survivor-centered provider, I am never going to lead a client down a path they did not consent to walk. Instead, I will stand beside you and help you build your strength back up.
I am passionate about working with individuals who have experienced sexual and/or relationship violence. Regardless of where you are at in your healing journey, I am here to help you get to that next step. If you're not sure of where to go or what to do, you are in the right place.
Liz Baumann offers therapy covered by Managed Health Services (Managed Medicaid) and Medicaid - Managed Health Services in Indiana.
With a background in dance and yoga education, I have created a lifelong passion for somatic interventions. With a client's consent, I enjoy incorporating breathwork and movement into healing practices.
With a certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, I utilize this treatment method to help clients change their thinking and behavior in order to manage present issues.
So much of who we are is based on early attachment experiences. I help my clients explore some of their earliest relationships and how they affect relationships in adulthood.
It is important to know ourselves in order to accept what we can't control and change what we can. ACT helps clients do just that!
